At Whirlow Hall Farm we grow many vegetables and soft fruits. We do this so you can enjoy gathering them fresh from their natural source and, in doing so, assist in developing the Trust’s excellent work with disadvantaged children.

We are proud to say our fruit and vegetables have a superior flavour to those supplied to supermarkets. We grow traditional varieties selected for their great taste, unlike commercial varieties supplied to supermarkets which are selected for how well they transport!

Farm Tours: Weekends and Bank Holidays and run hourly 11.00am – 3.00pm

Come to Whirlow Hall Farm and take a Guided Tour around a real working farm. We have a team of very knowledgeable Volunteers who will show you round and will be more than happy to answer any questions.

Warning: We are a Working Farm and as such there is Farm Machinery around as well as the animals. We ask that the public comply with all notices stating ‘No admittance’ and ‘Please Wash Your Hands’, and stay calm and quiet when close to the animals.

The tour will take you to our Piggy Palace where most of our pigs live and from where they go on to produce all our wonderful Pork products which are sold in our Farm Shop. At any given time there will be 30-40 piglets for you to see.

Currently we have approximately 90 Ewes in our Lambing Shed due to lamb over the next few weeks, all of which will ultimately find its way into our Farm Shop. Our last Lambing, mid January to mid March, produced 228 lambs and we are expecting a similar amount this time. We have a Lambing event arranged for Tuesday 13 April when we hope to be able to showcase many of these lambs.

For the next few weeks we still have our Beef Cattle under cover where they have been overwintering, but they will soon be back out in the fields. So now is the time to visit and have the opportunity of getting a close look at our beef ‘on the hoof’!

Our Volunteers will then take you to our Poultry Unit to visit our hens and with luck collect a few of our Free Range eggs and pack them ready for sale in our shop.

Your final port of call on your tour will be to visit our small animals, rabbits, guinea pigs and goats.

Following on from your tour you are strongly advised to wash your hands.

Our Guided Farm Tours are free to the public on Weekends and Bank Holidays, but donations to Whirlow Hall Farm Trust are very much appreciated.

Farm Site is closed to the general public on weekdays.
