Experience a private tour of the UK’s highest vineyard at Whirlow Hall Farm and gain a fascinating insight into the world of wine. Situated 262 metres above sea level, a party of 15 can come for a “walk and a talk” amongst the vines.  On route you may wish to pick a pallet of our strawberries or raspberries before heading back to our Cruck Barn to enjoy a glass of our own wine and some light bites.  Fancy a full lunch in our Cruck Barn, we can cater to your needs.  We anticipate the tour lasting 1 hour with a further half an hour for wine tasting and refreshments.

Please note restrictions: Maximum 15 people; Tour to take place in the month of August; Available Wednesdays to Sundays (dependent on availability of volunteers).

Private Lambing Experience – up to 6 children

Whirlow Hall Farm is offering a party of 6 children (plus adults) a private lamb experience.  This would include filling troughs, feeding the lambs and the chance to cuddle the new borns. We cannot promise lambs being born, but fingers crossed it may be possible.  Followed by a drink and a cake or biscuit at The Cruck Barn Café.

Please note restrictions: Maximum 6 children.  Can take place between 10am -2.00pm.  To take place in March though date dependent on lamb arrivals.

Apiary Tour – for up to 10 people

Join our beekeeper for an educational exploration about bees, beekeeping and honey.  Explore actual hives and learn about where the queen resides, how the hive is organised.  Afterwards enjoy some honey tasting at our Cruck Barn Café.  Follow with a morning or afternoon tea or lunch.  We anticipate the tour taking an hour and a quarter and a further half an hour for honey tasting.

Please note restrictions: Maximum 10 people; Tour to take place in the month of August; Available Wednesdays to Sundays (dependent on availability of volunteers).

Horticultural Tour – for up to 15 people

Come and be inspired by all our fruits, vegetables and herbs as part of a Whirlow horticultural experience. We grow a range of soft fruits including currants, gooseberries as well as vegetables, herbs, trees as well as grapes as part of vineyard.  The tour will also offer a strawberry and raspberry tasting.  Afterwards head to the Cruck Barn Café for a morning or afternoon tea or lunch.  We anticipate the tour taking an hour and a half.
