VISITOR COORDINATOR AT WHIRLOW HALL FARM TRUST

A fantastic opportunity to join one of Sheffield’s best loved charities in this part-time role, with responsibility for providing a welcoming, interesting and an attractive environment for weekend and school holiday visitors to the Farm.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and reliable, with strong organisational and prioritising skills. With a willingness and ability to work with a wide variety of staff and volunteers, the post holder will bring enthusiasm and positivity in promoting the fantastic work of the charity.

Alongside responsibility for the Farm Yard and Animal Handling Barns, the post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a series of successful weekend and holiday attractions and activities on the farm – farm tours, activity sessions etc. The role will include organising a small number of additional community events throughout the year.

Normal working routine will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday (inclusive) during term time, increasing to Friday to Tuesday (inclusive) during school holidays. Whilst core hours will be prescribed in the Contract of Employment, a degree of flexibility will be required and afforded. 

Hours of work – 7.5 per day

Salary – £9/10 an hour depending on experience

33 days holiday p.a pro rata (you will be expected to work Bank holidays)

Time off in lieu for extra hours worked

Pension – Auto enrolment scheme in accordance with part 1 of the Pensions Act 2008

Health care scheme – the Trust operates a health scheme through Westfield Health
