These recipes have lots of ideas for cooking simple, nutritious meals and snacks for large numbers of hungry children. The recipes can also be found in the Residential Hall and Westfield Barn along with our Welcome pack. Bon appetit!
There are three recipe sections here and a link to our seasonal food guide:
Savoury foods – many of these recipes are fairly simple and children can help with all or part of them.
Puddings – lots of simple recipes that children can help with.
Treats – a few recipes for cakes and biscuits for that extra special reward after a hard day on the farm!
Seasonal food guide – a food calendar to help you plan your shopping and cooking.
And don’t forget, you’ll find some of the ingredients in our farm shop too!
On the farm we keep free-range hens, which produce eggs that we sell. As part of the children’s stay on the farm they take part in collecting and sorting eggs ready for selling so there is always a ready supply.
During the summer months it is possible to pick your own fruit on the farm such as strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries etc. As well as eating them fresh they can be made into a simple fruit crumble.
We sell a variety of our own pork and lamb products such as sausages, bacon and gammon, directly from our farm shop. For specific items, we do advise you to phone us to check availability.
