Join us for an exclusive evening of Steak and Seafood with one of Sheffield's most reputable and legendary chefs, Mr Cary Brown.
We are thrilled this amazing chef wanted to work with us and help us raise vital funds to support our work with vulnerable children and young people... when he voiced his desire we jumped at the chance to work with him again. As a judge at our popular Sheff's Kitchen event, this chef has shared his plethora of knowledge with us and now will be showcasing his skills and talent in the kitchen.
This meal will be like no other, 3 courses with with a twist (you wouldn't expect anything less from us right?)

First course... FISH
As you may know Cary's restaurant Neon Fish is one of the finest places in Sheffield to enjoy the ultimate seafood dining experience. Located in the beautiful old park lodge overlooking Millhouses Park, Neon Fish offers the finest seafood that our shores have to offer.
Main course... WHIRLOW STEAK... This is a steak night like no other, we all have our go to favourite steak, you probably order the same steak each time you are dining out, maybe you buy the same steak to cook at home? Well if you are a red meat eater and enjoy a good steak this is the event for you, all we ask is that you trust us.
Your main course will be our BUTCHER'S SHARING BLOCK, STEAK TASTING COURSE. at least 6 different cuts to try all cooked the way they are meant to be.... yes that's right folks, you won't be asked how you like it cooked... Cary will show you just how fantastic Whirlow beef is when cooked to perfection...come with an open mind to potentially try something new... we know you won't be disappointed!

This evening brings some interactive education... you'll get to meet Martin our Whirlow butcher, hear from Cary in the dining room and watch him at work on the grills on the terrace (this chef loves the pressure and you'll love watching this master at work!)

Chef Cary Brown left Granville college after 4 years studying under the best chef lecturers with the highest distinction, which took him off to work in France and London. On his return to Sheffield, he was made head chef at the age of 23 at The Charnwood Hotel gaining accolades from the AA RAC and numerous food guides.
Knowing he wanted to own his own place he opened the fine dining restaurant Carriages where in the 12 years open, he gained recognition from the Michelin guide and the Good Food Guide.
Not one to be satisfied, Cary also created and owned the extremely popular acclaimed Slammers Seafood Restaurant, bringing a whole new style in the finest seafood to Sheffield and once again achieving accolades from Michelin and Good Food guide. Rated in the top 100 restaurants in the U.K. to visit in the National Olive magazine guide.
Cary had also consulted on other restaurant openings, owned an upmarket steak and seafood eatery ‘The London Club,’ a modern British tapas Mini Bar, lots of outside catering bookings and private dining at the homes of some very discerning customers.
Not to forget a brief period at The Devonshire Arms continuing his love of seafood whilst always being on the lookout for another future opening.
Since then, he has opened an eatery in Hathersage, and now opened his flagship restaurant Neon Fish in Sheffield which is in its 3rd year specialising in some of the finest seafood our shores have to offer.
Cary continues to provide his consultancy side helping other starting out in the industry.
