Fancy yourself as the next food critic? Have you ever watched Masterchef on the TV and thought you’d be an excellent judge? Well now is your chance to do this for real. The chance to eat and score dishes prepared by talented local chefs is now here
Join us on Friday 25th October at Genting Casino Sheffield for the grand finale of our ultimate cooking competition. Throughout the summer passionate local chefs have taken part in various knockout rounds to reach the final; and each is now ready and eager to battle it out on the main stage to win your votes and be crowned our Sheff's Kitchen champion 2019.
Seymour Millington, Executive chef at Sheffield United Football Club won the competition last year so returns in the hope of retaining his crown and the title. The two chefs who have fought their way through the various rounds this year to challenge him are... Leslie Buddington from Brocco on the Park and Luke Rhodes from Noosa Cafe Bar. Both are incredible chefs who have demonstrated both flair and technical skill so far; but who will rise victorious and take the title? Join us on the night to find out.
TWO MENUS - will you be red or black on the night?
3 COURSES on each menu so three cook off rounds - 2 chefs will compete and go head to head to win each course.
If you are in a couple you will have 6 dishes to try between you! Exciting right? Both the red and black menu will have one course cooked from each chef on it.
Each course has been given one key ingredient... the question is which chef will create the best dish with that ingredient?!! That is the challenge.
50% scores will come from YOU our diners the other 50% from our professional judges - Michelin Starred and celebrity chef Ruper Rowley and First Contact for chefs , Murray Chapman (who has credentials as long as your arm)
Our Gordon Ramsay look-a-like from the TV will be back again to turn up the heat and interact with our guests. Get ready for a very different and fun culinary experience!
Each team will be supported by catering students from The Sheffield College giving them a chance to experience working with their peers in a busy service environment.
At the end of service we will add up the scores from each round and crown our winner
The knives are out for this exciting event…Let the battle commence!
