5 stars for the High Sheriff

19.4.2018

We're extremely grateful that out-going High Sheriff, Stephen Ingram, has raised over £10,000 for Whirlow Hall Farm Trust.

Hopefully you'll know that Stephen Ingram, High Sheriff of South Yorkshire, picked us as to be his charity during his year in office - his core theme was one of inclusivity, and our work with excluded children really stuck a chord.

Stephen's been a tremendous  supporter of the Trust in many different ways - visiting school groups during their time with us, and speaking at our early intervention symposium in February.

But he also raised a terrific amount of funds for us too, donations made at the Legal Service he hosted in the Cutlers' Hall on a very cold and icy Sunday in March.  It was a fascinating event, and whilst a real piece of history, Stephen broke with tradition by holding a multi-faith service to reflect the enormous diversity of our great city.

All those involved were incredibly generous too.  In total, £10.088.81 was raised for us - a huge amount that will help fund the work we do with children from across the city and wider region.

We owe Stephen, and all of his guests at the Legal Service, an enormous thank you.
