Grape expectations!
30.10.2018
ITV got wind of our fantastic grape harvest - and what it might mean for the Trust.
This years incredible harvest caught the eye of ITV. They sent a team up to the vineyard to find out what it took to produce over 3 tonnes of grapes.
With each kilo roughly equating to a bottle of wine, the success of the harvest means we're in a position to think differently about what we will do with the wine next year. We believe it will be commercially viable to sell it through our shop and cafe - raising income to support the work of the Trust. We're hoping to produce a range of still and sparkling varieties.
Whilst it's a shame that the discussion around the charitable work of the Trust - how we help challenged youngsters - didn't make it into the final cut, we hope that the publicity will help us to make more of the vineyard next year.
