Our new play area is open!
1.5.2018
Ken Cooke, the Master Cutler, cut the ribbon to open our brand new play area. Come and give it a go!
We're so excited that our new play area is now open - thanks to the efforts of our wonderful staff and volunteers, and the Master Cutler. It's been a bit of an ordeal getting to this point, with the weather being no help whatsoever. Until today that is - when the sun shone down on a crowd of excited youngsters who watched as the opening ceremony was performed.
Ken Cooke, the Master Cutler, cut the beautiful paper chain made by our Whirlow Life students to open the play area. Fittingly, he used a pair of traditional sheep-shears made in Sheffield!
The play area will be open for the same hours as our cafe -10am to 4:30pm Wednesday to Sunday, on public holidays, and all-week-long during school holidays. That means it's open throughout this Bank Holiday weekend!
Why not bring the kids or grandkids along, and drive the tractor, clamber over the chicken roost or try out the swings? All we ask is that you supervise your children closely as it's bound to be popular.
The shop and cafe will be open so you'll be able to get a drink or bite to eat, and pick up your sausages or a Sunday joint too.
We can't wait to see you.
