The Barn - now it's official!
We're delighted that the Lord Mayor, Councillor Gail Smith, has officially cut-the-ribbon at The Barn
After a hectic few weeks of bedding-in, we're delighted that the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Councillor Gail Smith, was able to officially declare The Barn open yesterday evening. It was a lovely event - the weather was very kind - and it was great to see so many of the Trust's supporters, neighbours, volunteers, staff and Trustees there.
The Lord Mayor cut the ribbon using sheep shears, not scisssors - we're a farm after all! We raised a toast to the generosity and hard work that enabled the development, and to the bright future ahead. Glasses were filled with wine made from the grapes we grow in our vineyard - it really is good stuff!. Canapes were provided by the dynamic duo in the kitchen, and went down a treat too.
The Barn is a wonderful building, and will generate the income needed to enable us to provide charitable services for childrena and youngsters long into the future. We are grateful to everyone who helped us get to this point, and to all our future customers!
