Volunteers and staff celebrate 'Whirlow Week'
17.5.2018
50 members of our fantastic volunteer and staff team celebrated 'Whirlow Week' in style
A great evening was had by all at the farm last night. Farmer Ash Malia gave an informative tour of the farm and Chief Exec, Ben Davies, told us all about the exciting archaeology excavations that are currently taking place. This included a visit to our burgeoning 'roundhouse' that's being built by University of Sheffield archaeology students using traditional methods - including plans for animal dung walls!
The evening was rounded off by a delicious 'Whirlow BBQ' and a cake sale that raised over £100 for 'Whirlow Week'! It's always great to get the team together for a celebratory evening - our volunteers really are amazing, supporting us in every aspect of the work of the Trust!
