Whirlow receives £2,000 funding from The Yorkshire Agricultural Society

22.3.2023

We are delighted to have received a grant of £2,000 from The Yorkshire Agricultural Society.

The Yorkshire Agricultural Society makes grants to individuals and organisations who are part of the farming network and community. They aim to support and promote agriculture, encourage research and a greater understanding of farming and the countryside, as well as encouraging the protection and sustainability of the environment.

Whirlow has been generously supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society for a number of years and they have donated a total of £7,000 in that time.

This grant will support Whirlow to provide alternative education programmes for children and young people who are struggling in mainstream settings due to physical and mental health issues, learning disabilities and heart-breaking personal circumstances.

Ruth Gage, Trusts and Grants Fundraiser at Whirlow said, “We are thrilled to have received a further donation from the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. Regular support from organisations and individuals are vital to ensuring we can continue to provide our education programmes to support children and young people to re-engage with education.”
