A birthday party on a farm - what a great idea! Wear your wellies and have a day you'll never forget!
The Farm is a great place for a party. As well as having plenty of indoor fun and games, you'll be able to meet our animals and experience life on the Farm! Everyone wants something different so we definitely need to discuss what you're after. Please contact us on 01142 352678, firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
We're looking forward to speaking to you, but in the meantime, we thought these FAQs would help:
How much does a party cost? We offer venue hire for £25 an hour - this includes two seperate rooms (so you can keep the jelly and ice cream seperate from the Pass-the-Parcel!), loos, cloakroom and a small kitchen area for food preparation and well-deserved cuppa.
Please note that this venue is used by school children and members of staff throughout the week, it will be professionally cleaned prior to your party but teaching and farm items may remain in the room (these can be moved out as long as they are returned to their original place).
What can the children do? There are a number of different activities. We can put together a programme of different things all lasting about 30 minutes. We charge £30 per session for the group, each activity can accomodate up to 15 children.
Farm Tour and Animal Handling Experience - take a tour around the farm - pet and groom our small animals - Help feed some of the bigger critters. 5+
Scavenger Hunt - children work in teams to find all manner of things around the farm. It is a fun and active way to self-explore and learn about the farm. 5+
All activities are fully risk assessed and lead by trained members of staff.
When can I have a party? Saturdays and Sundays between 10am and 4pm are usual.
Who can enjoy a party on the Farm? Children aged 3 years and over really enjoy the place.
Who is responsible for the children? We'll make sure you are safe and sound, but we need you to be responsible for the behaviour of the children. So you need 1 adult to every 5 kids, unless they are really young (3 and 4 year olds) in which case they must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Who does the catering? We can take the strain and provide your party food - or you can self-cater if you prefer.
Where can parents park and can they stay during the party? We have a large car park. On activities, we ask that only the required number of adults accompany the party group. The remainder can join a public farm tour, grab something to eat or drink in our café, buy some of our fantastic produce in the butchery and shop, or get a breath of fresh air in the lovely countryside. Or, if needs be, have 5 minutes in the party room with a damp flannel on your face!
Need present ideas? Take a look at our animal sponsorship page and sponsor one of our farm animals for the birthday child!
